The Global Banking Transformation Team works with all Banking businesses and Citi functions, including Risk, Operations & Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the Team is to design and implement integrated solutions and sustainable capabilities in the most efficient and effective way for Banking and its clients. 

This role as a member of the Global Banking Transformation Team, will manage one or more critical projects within Finance, including Capital & RWA, Books and Records, and other key Transformation Programs relating to Finance in which Banking as a line of business is expected to play a role, ensuring that best practices and Citi standards are utilized to ensure successful delivery in a complex, global program. Responsibilities will evolve over time; however, the following are some specific activities expected of this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of one or more project streams within Banking Finance Transformation, being responsible for setting and then driving successful completion of key milestones and deliverables assigned to Global Banking.
  • Developing solutions to complex problems for Global Banking, working with key stakeholders to create project plans and then drive remediation.
  • Understanding critical path and taking a hands-on approach to ruthlessly manage our Plan.
  • Ensure transparency and effective management, tracking, and escalation of issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure dependencies are bi-laterally agreed and proactively managed.
  • Chair the working groups, ensuring that all contributing teams are aware of what’s required of them, that risks are actively managed before they become issues, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Provide status reporting and updates at senior governance forums.
  • The role is part of a small Transformation Team and requires proactive engagement and partnership with the broader Global Banking COO community, Capital Planning Transformation, as well as first line Banking Finance Leads (LFO, Business Controllers) and other key stakeholders in peer organizations, such as Client and the other LOBs.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the program, including obtaining buy-in for business process and infrastructure changes.
  • Liaison and clear communications with external parties, including clients and regulators as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to Global Banking Transformation Leads and key senior management in Banking covering project / program status, resourcing, and plans.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, and support other Global Banking Transformation initiatives beyond Finance, as needed.
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and develop more junior team members within the broader Banking Transformation Team.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience and knowledge of the financial services industry 
  • People Management experience in a financial services role
  • Knowledge of Finance rules and regulations, including Basel (RWA), Accounting principles, etc.
  • Experience in Transformation, Controls, or other Risk Management roles, managing a wide range of programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team, complex projects, and processes.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Proven strategic planning and presentation skills.
  • Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships.
  • Proven ability to conduct research/analysis and organize findings.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
