Position Purpose:
Drawing on extensive knowledge of goods and services, legal terms and business requirements, responsible for preparing/generating contract language/documents for vendors and service providers by ensuring all terms and conditions within the contracts meet business requirements and contain all required approvals and signatures.
What You’ll Do:
Draft goods and services related contractual agreements: obtain from and prepare contract documents for goods and services vendors and/or subcontractors and consultants. Conduct initial review of agreements, prepares redlines and consults with internal/external legal counsel. Consult with internal buyers/clients regarding purpose, timetable, and cost.
Problem solving: receive goods and services contract related inquiries, researches contract related issues, provide suggested solutions, convene and manage the ad hoc teams to resolve the problem. Generate contracts ranging in value from tens of thousands to millions of dollars for management and Law Department final approval.
Negotiations: Control the goods and services agreement negotiations process, secure attorneys, and technical experts, leads the negotiation sessions, ensures redlines are produced in a timeframe consistent with deadlines. Resolve roadblocks and facilitates mutual agreement.
Reporting: Store partially and fully negotiated agreements in database and on Law Dept. network. Provide monthly reports to management. Coordinate with Corporate Law personnel regarding throughput of the legal review process. May conduct Request for Proposal (RFP) training and prepare and maintain template documents for the RFP process. May conduct training on purchasing policies and contract administration.
Closure: Obtain final signatures on agreements from authorized personnel. Ensure that final agreements are properly matched with purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Degree Equivalency:
Associate degree plus 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 5 years required experience (see required work experience below).
7 years of job-related work experience.
Required Work Experience:
3 years contract administration experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Acts as liaison with other areas.
Analyzes information.
Conducts audits.
Drafts contracts.
Leads negotiates sessions.
What we Prefer you to have:
Experience and/or knowledge of FAR Compliance.
Contracts Management Certification(s) such as CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, CCMA, etc.…
Data Analysis, Data Entry, Project Management, and Technical Writing experience.
