What you will do 

We have a rare opportunity to embark on our 12-month fast track training programme which will promote your career in the direction you want!

The company is seeking a BIM Technician to support the development of the BIM and design departments. The primary responsibility of the technician is to provide real-time support, assistance, and leadership in the effective delivery of BIM in design and construction projects across the fire suppression business. This includes creating detailed 2D drawings (CAD) and 3D models (Revit).

The BIM Technician will report directly to the BIM manager and collaborate closely with our project and engineering teams. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition into the design team as a design engineer and work on prestigious fire engineering / construction projects both locally and nationwide.

The role will involve leading and implementing ISO19650 standards in the design and delivery process. Maintaining the companies’ high standards of quality and efficiency in its projects.

Suitable candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Building Information Management and Revit on a variety of design and construction projects. Familiarity with the PAS/ISO suite of standards is also required.

Each individual will have a personalised training plan tailored to their needs and career goals. These plans will include a combination of internal training sessions conducted by our team of experts and academic courses if desired. The academic courses lead to formal qualifications up to degree level, providing you with recognised credentials in the field.

What we look for 

  • Good knowledge of ISO19650 standards

  • Experience in BIM deliverables for COBie

  • Experience in BIM coordination including BIM360 collaboration.

  • Proficient Revit delivery

  • Proficient BIM360 delivery

  • Autodesk certified - Revit, Navisworks, COBie

  • 3 years industry experience in fire suppression and/or building services modelling.

  • Knowledge and understanding BIM Level 2 standards.
