JR59102 Industrial Engineer

Major Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Review and analyze production forecast and scenarios (Tactical)

  • Analyze forecasts and scenarios to understand their impact to production.
  • Establish constrains and possible alternatives to support need.
  • Review analysis and proposals with various stakeholders to establish follow-up actions.

Review and analyze production forecast and scenarios (for long term planning)

  • Identify loading routing needs between Assembly sites for optimum profile.
  • Establish capital expenditure required if any.
  • Present scenario and capital need proposals to upper management for strategic decisions and final approvals.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize capital expenditures, and effective use of the capital investment.

Establish equipment capacity and tooling needs to support production requirements

  • Identify and establish machine, kits and tools capacity need to support production.
  • Coordinate with the respective Equipment and Process Engineers to ensure capacity readiness.
  • Track capacity readiness to production.

Develop and enhance capacity model to cater to loading profile changes

  • Ensure accurate capacity model through periodic audits and validation of workstation performance.
  • Design and/or enhance models as needed in order to provide the right accuracy or functionality.

Support Production and Engineering capacity requirements (for long-term planning)

  • Establish production plan with Planners, and Engineering needs with various Engineering teams.
  • Establish equipment-configuration with Equipment and Manufacturing teams to support requirements.
  • Track equipment production status to ensure requirements are met.

Capital Expenditure management (for long-term planning)

  • Provide and consolidate justification for a capital request to all the stakeholders and site leadership team during the monthly capital process.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate submit dates, lead times and pricing information in capital system.
  • Keep capacity model accurate through events, most current delivery, Qual and required In-Service dates for approved capital.
  • Update and maintain assets database

Use the Appropriate Applications, Databases, and Presentations

  • Use Micron applications such as LPI, CALM, SAP, MSR, SPO, Proclarity,  etc
  • Use Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Maintain the Capacity Model

Project Management

  • Drive cross functional teams to define scope and project requirements for capacity issues
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders and re-adjust the capacity strategy based on the progress of the projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering field, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong curiosity about working in a dynamic and exciting environment.
  • Deliver a sound judgments and good in decision making.
  • Strong analytical skill, fast learner, independent and highly motivated and work well with given a short lead time.
  • Having multi-tasking capability and willing to take new challenges.
