CHALLENGE:


To apply solutions and resources in an efficiently manner to successfully close projects and improve the customer experience. Contribute with the growth of Ingredion on Beverages & brewing/distilling Market

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


•    Responsible for the development of innovative solutions and applications for the Beverages category (Non-alcoholic beverages: soft drinks, carbonated beverage, flavored waters, juices, instant drink powder, beverage concentrates, plant-based alternatives, nutritional beverages, energy drinks, sport beverages, coffee/tea-based drinks & alcoholic beverages: wine, beer, spirits, mixed drinks, etc.) aligned with customer needs, market trends and Ingredion growth strategy.
•    Effectively communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, and project results to internal and external customers using technical presentations, prototype demonstrations, training, and workshops.
•    Actively participate in regional and global expert meetings to define strategies to meet customer needs using Ingredion's innovation portfolio.
•    Maintain a focus on innovation by updating knowledge on food trends, customer needs and new technologies to provide technical advice and develop new solutions.
•    Lead all activities related to safety and innocuity in the IdeaLabs. (Equipment, maintenance, new equipment, methods/procedures, safety improvements, etc).

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:

•       At least 3 years.

•       Target market knowledge (Non-alcoholic and alcoholic Beverages).

•       Experience in a research and development role across food applications.

•       Knowledge in NPD, recipe formulation, prototype development, process, equipment, ingredients, and additives.  Application of ingredients such as: modified starches, flours, hydrocolloids, plant-based proteins, natural and synthetic sweeteners, fibers, etc.

•       Knowledge in physical-chemical analysis and sensory evaluation.

•       Awareness of food trends, customer´s products and processes.
