As a member of the Technology and Product Group (TPG) Strategy team, you will help set Micron’s product and technology strategy!  You will work closely with team members across multiple departments including business units, design, product engineering, and technology development to define, prioritize, and communicate market and system requirements and develop best in industry technology roadmaps for products and systems that will meet these challenging market demands You are expected to understand emerging market trends, shifting memory and computing systems architectures and how emerging memories may fit into the landscape.

• Build relationships with CHIPS R&D, DOD, DOE, DARPA and other Government R&D officials.
•    Identify potential Funding sources that align with TPG programs.
•    Collaborate with TPG engineering teams on the applicability of developing technology for targeting USG funding opportunities. 
•    Investigate, Socialize, Propose, potential partnerships with funding organizations.
•    Develop programs and funding sources for TPG areas of interest.
•    Strategy, Planning and coordination of meeting USG customer and research collaboration partners with TPG engineering Principal Investigators, Subject Matter Experts, and leadership. 
•    Coordinate with Government Affairs team on Strategy, Planning and coordination of Appropriation requests aligned with TPG programs and funding needs.
•    Shape and implement strategies for achieving goals with relevant government agencies
•    Recommend company positioning, priorities, internal and external strategy, and tactics related to participation in USG RFI, BAAs, Funding Opportunities, and other opportunities.
•    Recruit all Micron internal resources in the response to funding opportunities.
•    Lead the response development for RFI, BAAs, programs, and USG business opportunities.
•    Lead contract and agreement development negotiations with Micron legal to successfully close Prime, Subcontract, or other contracting vehicles.
•    Participate as the customer/USG Research Agency facing business program manager for the capture and execution of USG contracts.
•    Build respected working partnerships with partner organizations.
•    Act as company spokesperson in appropriate industry forums.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Direct experience prior engagements with Government R&D agencies such as DoD, DOE, DARPA.

  • Personal skills to Drive the cross functional team across Engineering, Technology Development, Legal, and Business Units to recommend strategy and execution plans.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers including Agency Leadership and engineering teams.

  • Requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field of study, business administration, or related field. Preferred BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or related field or equivalent experience

  • Highly effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent analytical, analysis, and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with dynamic demands

  • Must be United States of America citizen.

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally for customer and conference engagements.

  • Will consider remote / work from home for the right candidate (in addition to extensive travel to Washington DC and other domestic and international locations)

Preferred Requirements

  • Business development or program management experience with DOE, DoD, or DARPA preferably. DoD, DOE, DARPA consulting/engineering and project management preferred.

  • Previous experience at High Performance Computing, Server OEMs, CPU/GPU,, or Computer networking companies highly desired 

  • Strong negotiating skills.

  • Strong project management skills. Critical issue, communication.

  • Being comfortable to adjust (change of plans) at a moment’s notice.

  • High level of technical understanding of memory technologies and high-performance computing.

  • Experience completing RFPs and RFQs for various spend categories.

  • Background with Grants, Other Transactions procurement tools and processes (e.g., e-RFx, Reverse Auctions).

  • Effective communication and presentations skills

  • Ability and desire to hold United States Security Clearances

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$177,000.00 - $332,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
