Job Description:

About the Role

The People Partner will work directly with a group of engaged and passionate Senior People Partners and be responsible for providing consistent and appropriate advice and support to managers and employees in relation to a full range of people related matters. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Senior People Partners in a variety of ways including change management initiatives, the implementation of people & culture strategies, and case management

  • Interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, policies, legislation and other relevant information.

  • Supporting the implementation of strategic projects as well as operational activities including accreditation and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Assistance in managing employee relations/IR activities including engaging with industrial association representatives

  • Act as a liaison and first point of escalation to provide support to the HR advisors and administrators


Your Contribution

  • HR Qualification, graduate or post graduate or equivalent

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders through highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and sound coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with HR information systems, recruitment, learning management systems, rostering and other HR technologies and Microsoft Office applications.

  • A sound understanding of and experience in contemporary human resource management including the ability to interpret policy directives, Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation and provide advice and support to management.

  • Proven capacity to determine the most appropriate and sound HR solutions to a given problem to improve productivity and effectiveness in organisational performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately prepare a range of complex documents including letters, reports, referral notes to a high standard.

  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills, including the ability to manipulate data into reports and spreadsheets for various purposes, together with a strong attention to detail.

The People and Culture Department provides all facets of Generalist HR Services including Employee and Industrial Relations, Attraction, Recruitment and Selection and People Partnering. To support these functions, the People Partnering team consists of People Partners and Senior People Partners.
