Job Description:
The Senior Manager of HR Technology Innovation and Applications is responsible for leading HR technology configuration and driving process optimization and automation initiatives. This role oversees the HR Applications team and the Technology Solutions & Process Innovation team, ensuring the alignment of HR technology initiatives with business objectives. The Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the HR technology landscape, optimizing processes, and driving innovation to enhance HR service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the HR technology teams, guiding the development and execution of HR technology strategies that support organizational goals.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive HR technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives. Identifies opportunities to enhance HR technology capabilities and drive process improvements across the HR function.
- Ensures the effective operation of HR technology systems, including Workday HCM and other HR applications. Oversees the configuration, optimization, and support of these systems to meet business needs and improve user experience.
- Drives initiatives to streamline HR processes, reduce manual tasks, and enhance efficiency through technology and automation. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR technology teams.
- Ensures all processes are well documented with comprehensive process maps, SOPs, and other necessary documentation to support clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, IT, and business leaders. Serves as a liaison between the business and HR technology teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and effective communication of project goals and outcomes.
- Leads efforts to identify, evaluate, and implement new HR technologies that can enhance service delivery and support business transformation. Ensures seamless integration of HR systems and effective management of technology changes.
- Oversees Workday release management and impact analysis processes, ensuring that updates are implemented smoothly and that stakeholders are informed of new features and functionalities.
- Establishes data governance standards and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements across all HR technology systems. Oversees the development of compliance-related dashboards and reports.
- Fosters a high-performance culture within the HR technology teams. Provides mentorship, support professional development, and ensures that team members have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of HR technology platforms, particularly Workday HCM, and experience with other HR applications and systems.
- Expertise in creating process maps, SOPs, and other process documentation. Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive technology-enabled transformation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience leading diverse teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience leading change management initiatives and driving innovation within HR technology and operations.
- Ability to inspire teams and stakeholders to embrace new ideas and approaches.
- 5+ years’ experience in HR Technology including 5+ years in a management role overseeing multiple teams or functions.
