Department Overview

The Strategy department is at the centre of Motorola Solutions International (Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific & Latina America) organization, an organization with more than US$1 Bn annual sales and presence in many countries across the region. The Strategy department is in charge of co-ordinating the strategy & the alignment of resources into growth opportunities.
It is responsible for strategic planning & market research activities, business positioning, market share & competitive analysis. An internship in the strategy department gives the perfect chance to understand how a large multinational operates, and how markets, competitors & strategies are analysed and
implemented.We would like you to support our team from August 2024 for 1 year in full time capacity (40 hours / week) in our offices in Berlin, Germany. In some cases a candidate may be accepted for 6 months

Job Description

Main tasks are:
➤ Work on current strategic projects, market analysis & business analysis
➤ Research & analyze market trends, competitor’s ecosystem, market data in new expansion areas. Do in-depth analysis on some of those market trends & market data to support Motorola expansion into those areas with detail knowledge
➤ Analyze market report, data inputs & market data in order to produce analysis on Motorola Solutions vs. competitors’ performance
➤Work with various teams and information streams, gathering and collating important data and translating it into comprehensive reports/presentations
➤ Contribute to the discussions & decisions of the Strategy department, which will give the person a good insight into the overall works & strategy of a large business

Basic Requirements

For these interesting tasks we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Min. Bachelor degree in business, management, economics, finance or engineering. Master degree is a bonus
- Interest in performing business & market analysis
- Solid knowledge of MS Excel data analysis, MS Powerpoint and other MS Office applications; familiarity with the equivalent Google Suite
tools is an advantage
- Strategic mindset and enthusiasm for solving business and strategic challenges
- Enthusiasm for the business and strategy area
- To be result-oriented, self-efficient and capable of independently driving your tasks forward
- Very good written and spoken English skills; good skills in a second language would be a plus.
