About This Internship

Arch’s 8-week summer internship program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. It offers challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career options and develop professional skills. By working alongside talented IT professionals in the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of Project Management, participate in learning activities, and receive ongoing feedback.

About This Role

• Collaborate with the Project Management Office on initiatives to enhance governance standards, best practices, and standardize management tools.

• Work with Project Managers in adoption and roll-out of new and improved processes/tools.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, project teams and stakeholders to identify business needs and ensure project success.

• Provide support for project-specific needs, including documentation, analysis, and information gathering/sharing.

• Support agile teams in stakeholder communications, sprint ceremonies and release planning.

Qualifications

• Actively completing area of study in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant program.

• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. 

• College level - current Sophomore or Junior student.

• Outstanding written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; the ability to deliver insights and data with attention to detail, while balancing these details with the larger business objectives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.

• Ability to leverage technology to solve business problems.

• Knowledge of Project Management tools is a plus (MS Project, JIRA, etc.).

• Drive for continuous learning and development

• Team player who collaborates effectively.

• Initiative-taker who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Location & Work Arrangement 

• The program dates are June 2 - July 25, 2025.

• This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. 

• This position is in Farmington, CT or Morristown, NJ.

• Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Timeline 

Arch summer internship positions will be posted from September 2024 and will be unposted when filled.  

Pay   

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Farmington, CT, or Morristown, NJ, the hourly rate is $22-26 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will consider a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
