This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small and passionate team of Data Insights Analysts, you will be responsible for analyzing data to answer key business questions and enrich the supply chain management organization with robust information. We will support all functions within the Supply Chain Management organization including Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, Transportation, Commodity Management, Program Management and more.

We are looking for continuous learners who can apply supply chain knowledge, analytical abilities, superb communication, and problem-solving skills to inform tactical and strategic decision-making within the supply chain management organization. Passion for our mission is required!

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Create robust metrics, key performance indicators and analysis to provide insight and drive operational health
  • Use SQL and other data language tools to structure data in support of metrics/analysis for the supply chain organization and its stakeholder/partner organizations.
  • use DBT to develop data models for metrics and analytics performed on supply chain and manufacturing data enabling data access to less data-savvy users across the entire enterprise
  • Develop beautiful and intuitive dashboards that allow business users to easily see and interact with data
  • Scope business problems with supply chain leaders to shape and size analytics projects
  • Present data insights, findings or recommendations to supply chain and operations leaders
  • Partner with other analytics organizations to apply Blue standard methodologies for data management and visualization
  • Serve as a subject matter authority for supply chain related data and information
  • Triage and debug dashboard or data tool issues reported by customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytics role
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior level employees
  • Highly skilled at building complex SQL queries to obtain and structure data for further analysis
  • Highly proficient developing beautiful dashboards using Tableau (or other data visualization tools)
  • Outstanding ability to earn trust and maintain positive relationships leadership and employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to dig into sophisticated problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and methodologies
  • Master's in Business Analytics or similar field
  • Experience using Python – especially for process automation
  • Experience using JIRA and agile methodologies


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $113,760.00-$159,264.00

Other site ranges may differ
