About the Role

Responsible for payroll accounting and tax reporting for AIA Group Office. Join an exciting team!

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Verify and update the cost centre records interfaced to payroll vendor's system to ensure correct charging of payroll costs
  • Review General Ledger interface generated by payroll vendor and manage posting to Finance system including General Ledger mapping maintenance
  • Prepare and upload manual vouchers to Finance system including payroll settlement, intercompany charge, adjustment, accrual, reclassification, and cost allocation
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation report for payroll bank account, account reconciliation for MPF/Employee Share Plan contribution and balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Manage enquiries from Finance Department regarding HR cost charging
  • Work closely with the HK and country tax consultants by providing compensation and benefits data of mobile employees for preparation of home / host tax returns
  • Review employer’s tax returns and Tax Equalisation (TEQ) calculation of mobile employees prepared by the tax consultants
  • Handle TEQ settlement and tax refund for mobile employees and update record in payroll vendor’s system

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with major in Accounting, Business, or related subject area
  • At least 7 years experience in the human resources, payroll or accounting field
  • Good communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent skill in computer applications such as MS Office, automated payroll systems and accounting systems, with knowledge in SAP system desirable
  • Familiar with HK Employment Law and Tax Law preferable
