Job Description:

We are looking for an Operational Risk Manager to join our team at MBPS. In this role, you will provide support in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Operational Risk and Resilience Management (ORRM) frameworks, policies and standards including training and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development, coordination and implementation of existing and new ORRM frameworks, policies, and standards.

  • Collaborate with ORRM, IRM, Compliance, Legal, Ops and Tech 1B colleagues and partners throughout the cycle of policy development and implementation cycle.

  • Support for operational risk metrics across all risk categories, engaging with business partners for data collection, reviewing results, and challenge the performance and outcome.

  • Provide effective independent challenge & risk oversight over first line activities reporting of metrics, and conclude with clear and concise documentation.

  • Educate and train businesses on risk management frameworks and associated risk policies and standards.

  • Promote a strong risk culture and oversee relevant risk culture assessment processes, by ensuring continuous and effective line of communication across appropriate Lines of Defense risk teams.

  • Participate in high risk projects and change management initiatives, providing advice to project sponsors and resources on operational risk management activities.

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience as an operational risk manager, or similar capacity

  • A background in policy/standard development and implementation, as well as training and communications

  • A background in risk management, operations, audit, compliance or technology reporting and metrics monitoring
