About the Role

The Vice President, Operations will act as a strategic partner to our Chief Operations & Technology Officer (COTO).

Our Operations & Technology team comprises our Technology inclusive of CIO, Product Engineering, Cyber, Data and Analytics, Digital and Operations teams inclusive of Customer Service and Support, Sourcing, Content Operations and Real Estate Groups and is at the centre of how we deliver a superior and more integrated experience to both our customers and employees.

The Vice President, Operations will assume day-to-day responsibility for projects and initiatives as well as driving business priorities and organizational effectiveness for the Operations & Technology Leadership team. The successful candidate will be adept at synthesizing key priorities, identifying and resolving issues that serve as barriers, and communicating across the organization to ensure alignment.

The role is based in our Zug office in Switzerland, and you will work in a hybrid environment, spending a minimum of three days per week in office.

In this opportunity, as Vice President, Operations, you will:

  • Lead the O&T Leadership team to plan and prioritize strategic actions for each year related to business and enterprise-wide needs
  • Interface with Customers and internal stakeholders to ensure voice of customer is included in strategic priorities
  • Develop an operating rhythm across O&T. Ensure all departmental priorities are executed on time and on budget.  Provide PMO leadership on key initiatives as required
  • Partner with the business units to implement the required infrastructure to optimize opportunities across the Enterprise
  • Research, review, analyze and synthesize information, to present alternatives and relevant implications to enable informed decision-making; act as the sounding board for the new ideas and initiatives. Responsible for identifying trends both internally and externally that the group can incorporate
  • Engagement. Work with leadership team and comms support to identify plan/strategy
  • Build a broad and robust network and lasting partnerships, connecting with senior leadership, internal/external stakeholders and TR’s colleagues
  • Lead and author strategic documents synthesizing input from strategy leadership and other Operating Committee Executives
  • Use metrics to assess overall success of O&T. Use data to work with leaders to identify process, talent, and technology gaps

About You

You're a fit for the role of Vice President, Operations if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Be a results-driven starter-finisher with strong analytical and mathematical capability
  • Have superior written skills to deliver board materials, research papers and content as needed at pace
  • Have extensive and proven experience in a business or executive management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising
  • Have a track record of organizing and directing multiple teams and departments in driving strategic business initiatives
  • Have experience working across a large, global, matrixed organization
  • Have good organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with high attention to detail
  • Be able to provide insight through understanding of business needs, subject matter expertise and knowledge of external best practices; has a passion and curiosity for learning
  • Be a thoughtful and knowledgeable practitioner who takes initiative looking for opportunities to advance a customer-focused mindset across TR
  • Have the character and integrity that aligns with the inclusive culture of TR
  • Have a good external network of connections, constantly scanning the external world for relevant insights/activity that could benefit TR

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Related industry experience in software, technology, information services and consultancy experience would be a significant advantage
  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance or similar field
