New York Sr. Manager SPMO

We are looking for an experienced Semiconductor industry leader with front end wafer fabrication experience and managerial experience to lead site-wide strategic key initiatives for the Micron New York Site. The ideal candidate will have multiyear experience in: Fab output planning, tool install, cost reduction, and quality/yield management.

You will lead a team of program managers in managing site-wide key initiatives during the green field start up and construction as well as sustaining operations. You will work with site and global senior leadership team in developing and deploying key programs and KPI’s metrics. You will extensively lead, interface, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

You will need to use program management skills to break down and to deploy: key initiatives into sub-programs, site level KPI’s into department level KPI’s. Manage large portfolio of projects, track progress, and provide site level reporting / dashboards for site leadership team.

You will need to use project management skills to define / refine scope, map and engage stakeholders, develop and track timelines, progress and resources. You will be expected to lead regular reviews of schedule and when there are delays, to lead schedule solve sessions to define recovery path back on track.

The main scopes of this position will be (but not limited to):

Fab startup

  • Environmental assessments and permits
  • Construction phases
  • Tool installation

Sustaining Fab Operations

  • Output maximization
  • Cost reduction
  • Labor productivity
  • Quality and yield improvements
  • Technology transfer

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Engineering

7 years experience in semiconductor fabrication operations

3 years experience in managing project and programs

3 years experience in direct management of a team

Proven track record working cross-functionally and across organizations

Demonstrated ability to work with Senior Management and translate ambiguity into action

Detail oriented with ability to see the big picture

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent oral and written presentation skills and a great teammate attitude

Outstanding data analysis ability

Experience in data visualization using Tableau, PowerBI, and SQL

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$131,500.00 - $230,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
