PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The primary purpose of the position is to manage and support all aspects of T. Rowe Price Foundation’s philanthropic giving processes, including the collaboration with relationship managers and other philanthropy and community investment team members. This position serves as an important collaborator internally while also working to build strong relationships with external community partner organizations via the grant application, payment, and reporting process. This position will also manage all activities related to the T. Rowe Price Foundation Board of Directors, and all legal and financial accountability responsibilities related to the Foundation’s nonprofit status, including the annual audit. This role will serve as primary Salesforce System Administrator and manage the grantmaking process, workflow, internal review processes and system changes within Salesforce Grantmaking system. Additionally, this role will support other strategic initiatives within the Community Investment team.
Grants Management:
- Manage end-to-end grantmaking process, including invitations to apply, approval and decline workflow, grant contract distribution and record-keeping, ACH funds disbursement, DocuSign management, budget tracking, and reporting reminders and tracking.The majority of this work is completed within and as part of the Salesforce Grantmaking system.
- Maintain responsibility for assisting applicants with the proposal and reporting process, as well as updating grantee contact and organization records within Salesforce.
- Provide bi-weekly budget updates to relationship managers.
- Work with relationship managers to develop budget for Board approval on an annual basis.
- Provide budget update reports to the TRP Foundation Board during regular meetings.
- Track and ensure adherence to grantmaking budget as approved by the TRP Foundation Board.
- Manage communications to grantees via grant invitations and reminders, and report reminders.
- Organize and maintain grant files to support auditing and record-keeping needs.

Salesforce System Administrator:
- Salesforce serves as the Community Investment team’s grantmaking system as well as CRM (Customer Relationship management system), where all activity is tracked related to nonprofits that we serve.
- This position will serve as primary Salesforce System Administrator within the Salesforce Grantmaking Platform. This person will be main point of contact and responsible for maintaining the Salesforce system based on the team’s grantmaking needs and will work in partnership with team super users as well as T. Rowe Price technology and external salesforce vendor as needed to help support changes needed in the system.
- Manage, update, and maintain the grants application portal (Salesforce platform) in partnership with the T. Rowe Price Foundation’s communications lead.
- Maintain and update Salesforce system workflows, reports and dashboards, including internal workflow review processes, updating automated communications templates sent from Salesforce, updating communication language on the portal as needed, building the grants budget within Salesforce, and setting up new grant application forms and grant report forms.
Annual Audit:
- Prepare and provide information to auditors on an annual basis, including but not limited to:
- Approved budget against actuals
- Accruals
- Grant agreement and proof of payment reports
- Supporting documentation for multi-year grants
- Communicate with grantees to confirm grant details.
- Collaborate with the finance team on preparing accurate and detailed information for auditors to review.
T. Rowe Price Foundation Board of Trustees:
- Set annual meeting calendar in collaboration with Trustees and key staff members.
- Maintain Diligent platform where all meeting packets and minutes will be stored.
- Maintain and ensure accurate record-keeping related to budget decisions and any special grant approvals (capital campaigns, multi-year grants, etc.).
- Support Foundation President and Board Chair in the creation and dissemination of the Board packet for each meeting.
- Manage end-to-end logistics for each Board meeting, including catering, room reservations, technology needs, special guest presentations (including parking, badges, and greeting), etc.
Matching Gifts:
- Work with the Philanthropy Program Manager to manage matching gifts administration, associate inquiries, approvals, and declines.
- Support the Philanthropy Program Manager by maintaining matching gift reporting, dashboard, data distribution and privacy reviews.
- Manage the monthly invoice and PO process for the matching gift program, in collaboration with TRP’s Finance team.
- Conduct annual review and removal of files containing Personal/Private Information relating to the matching gift program.
Other projects, as needed:
- Maintaining special certifications, subscriptions, and memberships including but not limited to Maryland Tax Exempt Certification, GuideStar/Candid, and others.
- Log and maintain records on associate donations to TRP Foundation.
- Collaborate with Community Investment team members on large-scale events or initiatives by providing administrative or logistics support.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 0+ years of total relevant work experience
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$66,000.00 - $113,500.00 for the location of: California, New York
$58,500.00 - $99,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$53,000.00 - $90,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
