Primary Responsibilities
The selected individual will perform various tasks, such as:
Leading interdisciplinary teams on a variety of transit planning projects
Writing and reviewing technical reports and developing presentations
Understanding and interpreting data analysis results to drive development of recommendations and solutions
Managing project budgets and schedules
Supporting the west coast growth strategy for the transit practice
Managing client relationships
Identifying new business opportunities and supporting business development
Representing the company at industry events
Leading proposal development and contributing to interview presentations
Developing and implementing processes that make the work product better
Active involvement with relevant industry organizations and participation in conferences and other industry events
Authoring thought leadership (articles, blog posts, etc.) on these topics
Skills and Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:
Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, collaborative work style
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
Proficiency in using spreadsheets to interpret data and conduct complex analysis
Experience managing transit planning projects
Additional transit experience in any of the following additional areas:
Transit scheduling and operations
Zero-emission bus technologies and electrical principles
“Emerging mobility” solutions such as microtransit
Flexibility to work on-site and non-standard business hours occasionally, must be able to travel
Proficiency in data analysis and spreadsheet modeling tools
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Eight years’ experience in the transportation planning field
Bachelors degree in urban planning, transportation engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
AICP or PE certification is desirable but not required.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $109,700 to $175,900 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
