Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager in our fast-growing Data, Processes and Systems (DPS) team to work closely with stakeholders from the Private Markets and Information Technology teams. The DPS team consists of specialists in Business Analysis, Business Architecture and Project Management working in the Private Markets Operations department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project management methodologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
As a project manager within the Private Markets department your main responsibilities are:
Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of complex IT implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget;
Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and end-users, to define project requirements, scope, and deliverable;
Understand business and solution architecture and help shaping the target operating model when executing projects;
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment;
Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and addressing any concerns promptly;
Elicit and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements from business and technical stakeholders;
Manage external technology providers and drive the selection process in close collaboration with IMT.
Requirements
University degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent qualification;
At least 5 years of working experience as a Project Manager at a financial services company or with a leading consulting firm in a delivery role in the financial services sector;
Experience in the asset management industry, more specifically private markets and its corresponding systems is a plus;
In-depth and proven project management, delivery & leadership skills (both technical and people as well as change management). Agile certification (Scrum, IPMA, etc.) and practical experience as a plus;
Top communication skills suited for all types of project situations and levels of the organization;
Ability to act as a mediator on complex topics between business and technology teams;
Getting things done mentality combined with a passion for project management;
Pragmatic, hands-on, yet analytical and well-structured at the same time;
Team player, self-motivated with the ability to work independently;
Excellent language skills in English (verbal/written), German is a plus.
