Your New Role...

WBD Access has grown into a significant year-round talent development resource for creatives through bespoke pipeline programmes, content creation, alumni support and industry-backed professional development. Working on a dedicated team within Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team and internally partnering with our portfolio of WBD brands, this is a key role in the continued development and delivery of the WBD’s activities to support under-represented creative talent.

 

The Diversity Equity, and Inclusion Pipeline Manager will be responsible for driving and implementing our world class Pipeline programmes for international markets.  The post holder will take on full lifecycle management of existing programmes and assist in conceptualising and planning new programmes in line with WBD’s DEI strategic vision. In addition, there is a strong focus on outreach and engagement, and engaging, tracking and supporting the progression of supported creatives, including brokering their relationship with Executives across WBD.

 

As part of the Global CoE, the DEI Pipeline Manager will report into the DEI Pipeline Director in the UK and work closely with the entire WBD Pipeline team (based in the UK and US) to manage delivery of programmes and support localisation and delivery of programmes internationally.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Manage the ongoing design and implementation of WBD Access talent development programmes
  • Lead on the design of new high impact programmes in line with WBD’s DEI Strategic vision.  
  • Provide full lifecycle management of the programmes - from conception to facilitation, including the creation of budget, program timeline, tailored curriculum, and post-program placement strategy.
  • Design and deliver submission processes, including submission portal set-up, reader/screener management, coordination of all interviews and data collection, as needed with regional and business DEI teams. 
  • Partner with required teams internally to provide project management support to organise, schedule and facilitate/deliver programmes.
  • Serve as day-to-day executive on programs, as needed, and act as liaison between the cohort and the department.  Ensure consistent and clear communication with all program participants.
  • Read and/or screen material as part of evaluation processes for all programs.  
  • Manage creation of all internal “look books” and virtual curriculums for all cohorts.  
  • Liaise with talent for staffing inquiries and panel/speaker needs, including masterclasses and festival panels.  
  • Assist with gathering deliverables for festival partnerships, including reels, ads, and panelist headshots and bios.
  • Conduct program postmortems and feedback sessions to identify ways to enhance future initiatives   
  • Work closely with WBD communications team to ensure that pipeline programs are proactively communicated both internally and externally
  • Manage payments and invoices across the team
  • Provide cover for other managers as required and manage additional projects/tasks actions assigned by the VP of Pipeline Programmes and Director of Pipeline programmes
  • Stay abreast of global data and trends in the industry and maintain up-to-date knowledge of global diversity, inclusion and belonging. 
  • Be supportive and good team player, supporting others where you can, and actively participating in team meetings, events and the induction and training of new team members
  • Travel as needed for execution of pipeline programs.

Skills and Qualifications… 

  • 5+ years of prior experience in TV/film production, diversity and inclusion, and/or related experience.  
  • Demonstrable experience supporting talent within Film, Theatre, Television, Emerging Media, or other relevant industries.
  • A demonstratble commitment to diversity and inclusion in previous positions and genuine ambition to support the work of new creative talent  
  • Demonstrable experience of project management and external partnership working
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with self-starter, pro-active mindset.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships within the media industry, developing strong relationships with talent.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write engaging and informative content.
  • Good accessible and inclusive communication skills and able to engage different audiences.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and able to manage relationships at all different levels
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Open-minded, empathetic and eager to continue learning to ensure understanding of current DEI trends and best practices.

    Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
