Scrum Master
The SAFe Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for the SAFe Enablement team that is responsible for delivering accelerators across biotechnology product teams, driving a culture of continuous innovation across the enterprise, and enabling effective Agile governance and measurement. The Scrum Master fosters an environment where the team can stay focused with limited disruption from outside impacts, enables the team to effectively use Lean and Agile practices, removes roadblocks to progress, facilitates Agile events. In partnership with the Product Owner, the Scrum Master tracks team metrics and guides the team towards delivery of Amgen’s SAFe transformation roadmap.
Facilitate team events such as Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Act as a servant leader and coach for and within Product and Platform teams
Foster an environment where the team can stay focused
Educate the team about Lean and Agile practices like Scrum
Remove roadblocks and impediments to team progress
Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and guiding the team
Strengthen communication and relationships with other teams, especially those on the Agile Release Train (ART)
Track team metrics and find ways to improve team performance
Guide the team towards becoming a high-performing and self-managing unit
Continuously learn and improve as a Scrum Master to better support the team's success, including participation in Amgen Communities of Practice
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate Degree OR
Master’s degree with 4 - 6 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
Diploma with 10 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years’ Project Management experience
2+ years’ experience working in a highly agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) environment
Experience with ITIL and Service Management
Experience operating within a validated systems environment (FDA, European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products, Ministry of Health, etc.)
Experience working cross-functionally and building collaborative working relationships; interfacing effectively with stakeholders, operations and management to resolve issues
Ability to organize and schedule tasks, develop realistic action plans incorporating time constraints and task priorities
Previous experience working in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse environment
Excellent Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Jira experience
SAFe training experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Workshop facilitation experience
Slido or other survey building experience
SAFe for Teams (Mandatory)
SAFe 6 Scrum Master (Mandatory)
Certified SAFe 6 Agilist (preferred)
Certified SAFe 6 Practitioner - (preferred)
Certified SAFe 6 Release Train Engineer (preferred)
ITIL 4 Foundations (preferred)

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.
High degree of initiative and self-motivation.

This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required. Potential Shifts (subject to change based on business requirements): Second Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm IST; Third Shift: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am IST.
