The Resuscitation Simulation Certification Program Coordinator (RSD) will oversee the daily operations of Resuscitation Simulation Classes and community events managed by the department. Key responsibilities include collaborating with CCF program instructors to ensure proper staffing for courses, supporting the professional development of instructors within the RSD courses, assisting in the onboarding of new instructors, and leading instructor training sessions. The Course Coordinator will also play a pivotal role in implementing new resuscitation programs and organizing RSD community events. This position requires close collaboration with the Resuscitation Simulation team and the Simulation and Advanced Skills team to enhance the organization’s resuscitation readiness and education efforts.

A caregiver in this position works full time day shift, starts times will vary.   

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Lead orientation and record management activities and ensures standards are maintained. 
  • Develop and update interdepartmental education programs. 
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, preparation, and communication of meetings. 
  • Facilitate and attend meetings and record key outcomes. 
  • Identify key milestones and deadlines. 
  • Research, analyze and organize information for presentations. 
  • Assist department leadership with large or complex projects. 
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Certification
  • Have two years of experience as an American Heart Association instructor in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Life Support (PALS.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Life Support (PALS) required upon hire.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) required.
  • Four years of experience as a Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) provider or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent licensure education required.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 
  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications. 
  • Experience developing programs (healthcare, financial or education). 
  • Healthcare experience or related organization 

Physical Requirements:

  • A high degree of dexterity to produce documents on a PC.
  • Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.
  • Extensive sitting, standing and walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment: 

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
