Who you are:

As a Trust Tax Accountant I, you will prepare basic to moderately complex to complex fiduciary, non-profit, and information returns for assigned accounts. You will be responsible work for minimizing liability for assigned accounts in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Most importantly, this role is about providing top-quality service and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind. 

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and maintain all necessary records and information pertinent to the taxes on investment and trust accounts
  • Review transactional tax coding to ensure proper tax reporting and taxability
  • Advise investment officers and account administrators of any tax situations related to processing the tax return which could affect the management of their accounts
  • May assist in processing backup and foreign tax withholding/reporting
  • Monitor non-resident accounts to ensure compliance with IRS regulations
  • Assist senior tax accountants with completing more complex tax returns
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
  • Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Previous accounting or securities experience
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA
