About This Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a fixed-term position as In-reach Program Coordinator in the UQ School of Social Science. The successful applicant will be required to co-ordinate the development and delivery of on-campus experiences that build skills and interest in archaeology and cultural heritage management and create higher education pathways for pre-tertiary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Key responsibilities will include:
Co-ordinate the development and delivery of a School in-reach program in collaboration with stakeholders across the School, Faculty and central teams, as well as the program sponsor, Everick Heritage Pty Ltd.
Review and update existing content and resources and identify needs and opportunities for developing additional resources (including digital).
Contribute to the recruitment, training and mentorship of staff who are engaged in program delivery.
Provide regular reporting to the Steering Committee on event management and impact including recommendations that support informed decision making and planning.
Coordinate and support the development of program-related documentation including project plans and risk assessments.
Other duties as requested by the supervisor.

About You
A Bachelor’s degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Ability to develop, promote and present age-appropriate educational activities and event programming.
Familiarity or experience in Australian Archaeology and/or cultural heritage.
Demonstrated experience in planning and delivery of a program of activities, including allocating time, budget and resources.
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities within tight timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience providing training and mentorship to staff is desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and criminal check.
