JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Tax Controller to join our finance team. The Tax Controller will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and implementing tax optimization strategies. This role is essential for our financial well-being and strategic decision-making.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of local tax returns including but not limited to: VAT, FCT, CIT, Business License Tax.

• Manage and coordinate tax inquiries from tax authorities.

• Assist with tax audits, responding to queries and providing necessary documentation.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors.

• Perform regular tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

Tax Planning and Strategy:

• Develop and implement tax planning and strategies in line with the Group.

• Provide guidance on the tax implications of business activities and transactions.

• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.

Transfer pricing and Intercompany:

• Build and manage transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and alignment with Group policies

• Review intercompany transactions for accuracy and compliance, ensuring arm’s length pricing

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of tax transactions.

• Oversee the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial reports.

Advisory and Support:

• Advise senior management on tax-related matters and potential tax risks.

• Support business transactions from a tax perspective.

• Provide training and support to internal teams on tax-related issues.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax compliance and efficiency.

• Develop and maintain effective tax reporting and documentation systems.

• Ensure proper maintenance of tax records and documentation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EPXERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;

• Experience in consulting firms and/or technology companies

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax management, with a strong background in corporate tax.

• In-depth knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.

• Experience in VAT refund processes, tax audit/inspection procedure.

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external advisors.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in both English and Vietnamese.
