Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

  • Timely closure of activities associated with MEC, QEC and YEC
  • Submitting MEC, QEC and YEC reports under controllership role as per group finance requirements and within strict timelines using SAP and BPC systems
  • Variation analysis on MoM basis before and after the books close
  • Balance sheet schedule reviews on monthly basis
  • Financial analysis of Key GL accounts
  • Ensuring delivery of key audit schedules for Group as well Indian GAAP audits
  • Other requirements at legal entity level under various Indian laws including but not limited to Income tax, GST, Companies act and RBI act
  • Review of Fixed asset registers and assist in physical verifications
  • Review of Bank Reconciliations on weekly basis
  • Collaborate with other functional areas like business, business finance, Tax & Compliance, Shared Services and Intra-department
  • Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally acceptable accounting principles.
  • Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
  • Working knowledge of - SAP, BPC and proficient in MS Excel

Basic Qualifications and Skills

  • Should be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant
  • 2 - 3 years of accounting and/ or finance experience. Experience in finance controllership function will be given preference.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of - SAP, BPC and proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach and high level of integrity
