Senior Accountant

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare domestic and international bank reconciliations requiring knowledge and experience with foreign exchange transactions and issues

  • Prepare other cash related GL account reconciliations

  • Process daily exceptions in Oracle and bank websites for cleared activity

  • Work with other groups to coordinate the research of stale dated checks and unclaimed property processes including escheatment

  • Participate in month-end processes and prepare journal entries pertaining to cash activity

  • Prepare quarterly and annual audit schedules and interact with both internal and external auditors

  • Be involved with special projects – including creating/improving processes, preparing analyses and working with technical groups for Oracle implementations/improvements

Who you are:

  • BS degree in Accounting or related field required

  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, preferably in a large growth oriented international organization or high-tech company

  • Minimum of 2 years cash reconciliation experience in a global environment

  • Experience with Oracle, SAP or another large ERP system preferred, but not required

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills including the ability to act as primary owner of individual projects, analyses or processes

  • Detail oriented, organized, efficient and a self-starter, ability to remain flexible to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills

  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people both internal and external

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to articulate clearly complex processes to audiences with differing levels of understanding

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional network outside immediate group to ensure strong customer focus

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $51,500.00 to $72,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $82,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
