PMO Manager

We are a growing transport business looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead the GTS PMO teams, providing support to the day to day operation of GTS programmes and bids. This role is based in Sydney Olympic Park, which is the heart of Sydney’s famous Olympic precinct, with a bustling café and restaurant district, renowned stadiums, sporting facilities, entertainment venues, medical centres, parks and much more.

Role Scope and Purpose

The PMO Manager conducts planning/scheduling for the assigned bids, projects, and programs against a baseline to enable effective monitoring and control of tasks and deliverables, schedule risks, workload, and costs.

The PMO Manager must have expertise in program/project management structures and baselines such as WBS, OBS, RAM, WPDDs, PMBs, etc, and control, in particular the use of PERT to develop schedules and Critical Path to manage schedules and experienced in the use of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) to develop probabilistic schedules (P80, P90, etc). Must be knowledgeable in claims, extension of time and delay analysis from a schedule perspective and good Excel skills and working knowledge of schedule acceleration concepts.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years PMO Manager experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in Scheduling and Planning
  • 2+  years’ experience using Primavera P6
  • Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Experience in transport integrated systems delivery methodology
  • Experience with workforce planning and team management
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal & communications skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Engineering
