About the team


The Banking Strategy team sits within the Banking Solutions line of business. Banking Solutions is the largest business segment within FIS, accounting for approximately $7B in annual revenues across 6 product lines that serve banks and other financial institution clients.

Banking Strategy initiatives include growth, transformation, rationalization, partnership, and M&A opportunities. We partner and influence extensively across corporate functions and product lines.

About the role


As Senior Manager of Banking Strategy, you’ll work closely with executives across functions and business units to define and implement strategic initiatives that drive long-term competitive differentiation, diversification, growth, and financial success for the Banking Solutions LOB.

What you will do

  • Identify, develop, and drive consensus around business cases for strategic revenue growth, product development, and cost synergy opportunities to improve overall corporate financial performance and drive shareholder value.
  • Define and disseminate strategic insights and recommendations across all levels of the corporation, including the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Advise senior executives on competitors, trends, strategic threats and industry inflection points.
  • Partner with, influence, and indirectly manage resources from across the FIS organization, including corporate strategy, partnership, M&A, and pricing teams on enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Portfolio Management personnel to align strategy in capital investments.
  • Flexibly train, coach, and manage team members on project staffing basis.
  • As a visible and respected industry thought leader, represents FIS in industry press, with industry associations, at industry conferences, FIS conferences, strategic sales opportunities and senior executive meetings at key accounts.

What you will need

  • 6+ years of experience with demonstrated focus in banking and/or fintech.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in strategy as a corporate function, at an external consultancy. and/or in a bank or in financial services organizations.
  • Experience in growing within high-performing teams, including demonstrated passion for talent development.
  • Sufficient intelligence, professionalism, and interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with and influence teams across hierarchical levels up to and including the most senior executives.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a highly complex global organization within a fast-evolving global industry.
  • Analytical, disciplined, detail-oriented, and data-driven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to readily articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in verbal and written communications.
  • Adeptness with all MS Office applications.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $142,370.00 - $239,190.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
