PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Media Sales & Business Development Support Specialist will provide key program support in the following key efforts for Simon Brand Ventures:

  • Support the sales efforts of the Simon Media Experiences team through coordination of the sales process for all Simon Media assets. In this role, this person will:

    • Proactively and continuously develop and present process improvement suggestions for the media sales and business development support team.

    • Assist the business and program operations team through planning, implementation and execution of their programs and serve a key role in the media operations team through their assigned responsibilities.

  • Support the execution of EV Charging Services (EVCS) site development, internal vetting and deployment across the Simon shopping center portfolio. In this role, this person will:

    • Coordinate the process for exploring, vetting and tracking EVCS site development, construction, and deployment for multiple existing, contracted, and prospective EV charging sites at Simon centers across North America.

PRIORITY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Media Sales & Business Development Support

    • Execute the workflow process for the Media Team to support a national sales organization.

    • Provide support for assigned deal makers through the entire “media” lifecycle working hand-in-hand with SBV Business Development team.

    • Serve as a key contributor to the accurate and timely postings of assigned digital advertising schedules.

    • Following up on contracted media deals, including:

      • Issuing creative specs to contracted agencies and advertisers.

      • Coordinating timing and communications for creative submissions with advertisers and agencies

      • Collecting and compiling proof of posting, plus communications of same with advertisers and agencies

      • Completion and issuance of posting affidavits, as required.

      • Effective and timely communications with Simon’s media team, agencies, advertisers, production vendors, mall teams and deal makers.

      • Monitor and notify parties on the production and shipping status.

      • Handle Installation and removal alerts, digital board scheduling, competitive reports, Proof of Performance photos and affidavits, as may be required on a deal-to-deal basis.

      • Support tasks associated with advertising execution and deployments.

  • EVCS Support - Duties will require handling of unique, sensitive, or confidential information in a professional manner. Supporting the VP Business Development’s efforts, including:

    • Effective organization, coordination, and communications regarding the status of development and operations of several EVCS vendors at multiple sites, simultaneously.

    • Gathering EV charging site requests from the EVCS vendors.

      • Internal vetting of prospective EVCS sites with internal stakeholders.

      • External vetting with EVCS partners, local governments, AHJ’s and utilities.

      • Coordinating and driving regular meetings with the Simon’s strategic EVCS vendors

      • Weekly update meetings with each assigned vendor and prospective new EVCS site.

      • Coordinate execution flow for site level license agreements, easements, and other real estate related documentation with legal, Business Development and executives.  

      • Support construction, building and opening of new EV charging sites with select EVCS vendors & key internal Simon parties at each participating center.

      • Manage operations issues with assigned EVCS vendors, as needed.

      • Help to maintain and update shared trackers for all Simon EVCS sites.

  • General Abilities:

    • Develop and execute multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on organizational skills, computing expertise and discretion.

    • Self–Driven: Demonstrates the ability to integrate and work as part of a team while working independently with minimal supervision to achieve tasks and objectives in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related field

  • 4+ years relevant experience and demonstrated success in media operations, real estate, administrative and project support.

  • Skills and Attributes:

    • Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to achieve a high level of productivity under tight deadlines

    • Exemplary organizational, workflow, writing, language, and communication skills.

    • Software proficiency, including MS Windows, Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, and Teams are a must.  Proficiency with Salesforce is a plus

    • Has a passion for organization, timely execution, and process improvements to support a complex nationwide, multi-site and multi-vendor effort.
