Job Description

Job title: Sales Manager-Offline Channel     
Department & Location: GMG China, Shanghai
Report to: China Senior Sales Manager

Church & Dwight’s Export team conducts business in over 130 countries and represents one of the fastest growing business units within Church & Dwight. China market is a very strategic and important market. This role is new within this team and has been created to address brand-building and sales execution needs to enable rapid growth in China.

We are currently seeking an Offline Sales Manager to implement strategy execution and sales execution for a designated area or channel, with an expectation of increasing year or year sales revenue and customer satisfaction.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    This role will be responsible for 3-4 key brands’ sales growth in overall China all offline channels, including sales coverage and channel expansion.
    Grow existing offline channel business to ensure a double digital increase.
    Lead national offline channel expansion to support overall business increase plan.
    Lead offline national development plan in line with national channel strategies to achieve defined business objectives: brand SKU portfolios, price management, promotion planning, distributor management, competitive strategies etc.
    Accurately forecast sales and growth opportunities within designated territory and channels.
    Prepare and participate in business reviews and forecast, to ensure a constant flow of information among channels, distributors, and the company.
    Deep interact and connect with external distributors to ensure channel implementation.
    Manage distributor performance and provide ongoing support and training to enhance their sales capabilities.
    Work closely with Marketing team, Finance team and Logistic team to respond to the trade competitors consumers and supply environment.
    Lead market analysis by utilizing customer POS data to offer the most effective in-store promotion by different channel/store type.
    Do store checks in nationwide of the retailers in order to get to know the assortments and the competition. 

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree is preferred.
•    5-8 years’ experience of within well known FMCG operators with at least 3 years of those at area sales manager level.
•    A proven track-record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, and a desire to grow new business.
•    Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers and using this knowledge to develop account plans and strategies. (Knowledge of the existing account areas/channels would be advantageous).
•    Strong analytical skills, and business savvy orientation with strong appreciation for standard methodologies and governance in a highly matrixed organization.
•    Able to be an individual contributor, willing and eager to work in an agile hands-on capacity to serve as a partner and trusted resource to our marketers.
•    Ability to devise and deliver persuasive presentations, based on data-driven insights and facts, to gain support for business strategies and /or initiatives.
•    Strong ability to handle complex business matters.
•    Demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skill in both Mandarin and English.  

The job will be based in Church and Dwight Shanghai office and will require occasional (~30%) domestic and international travel.
