Job Description:

We’re looking for a Operational Excellence Consultant to join our Operational Excellence team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to have an integral role in delivering on transformational process changes. You will work closely with the Senior Management Teams to identify, lead and implement process transformation initiatives that will directly contribute to the realization of the organizations strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, advise and influence senior management with respect to process management and optimization
  • Assess the performance and capability of processes and operational groups (takt time, cycle time, throughput, productivity, etc.)
  • Clearly define problem and/or objective, identify process scope, identify and collect data to derive process measures
  • Conduct Kaizen events and facilitate problem solving sessions or workshops with operations teams
  • Design efficient and effective process solutions (value streams, workflow, metrics, staffing, etc.)
  • Lead project management activities including planning, scheduling, governance and execution to successful completion.
  • Manage the controlled deployment of process and operational changes (pilots, change control, minimize go-live risks, etc.)
  • Support the development of the Lean Management Program and related activities, methodologies and tools.
  • Commit to self-development towards mastery of Lean practices, tools and methodologies, project management principles and industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • University degree holder with 3+ years of relevant experience in process improvement / management consulting / project leading.
  • Hands-on knowledge and application of the LEAN methodology and/or other Process Management and Optimization approaches, methodologies and tools (6Sigma, BPM, BPR, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management and Change Management methodologies and tools
  • Drives for change through a strong ability to influence business partners and execute ideas through to completion
  • Ability to work in complex, ambiguous and fast-pace environment
  • Proven ability to create and maintain strong relationships across the organization at all levels
  • Experience with influencing and negotiating with senior management
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills (geared to Senior Management) 
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, facilitation and change management skills, along with experience managing complex process improvement projects
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage expectations  
  • Data driven, KPI driven and advanced in Microsoft Excel.  Knowing VBA programming is a plus.
  • amenable working on a night shift schedule

Desired:

  • LEAN Six Sigma Greenbelt Trained or LEAN Six Sigma Yellowbelt Certified
  • Training on Operational Excellence, Problem Solving, and Project Management frameworks, methodologies and tools (LEAN, DMAIC, Data Analysis, HCD, Design Thinking, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Use of statistical tools for data analysis, i.e., Minitab, SPC Excel, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile Mindset & Frameworks (i.e., Scrum)
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in a leadership role, i.e., team leader, supervisor, etc.
