About the job

This position is accountable for enabling strategic and operational aspects of core ‘Financial Operations’ outsourced to BPO vendor with an objective to ensure it is compliant, efficient, effective and best in class to deliver value to Walmart. 

This is a full-time role and should ensure maximum leverage of the operations teams supporting Walmart. 

Major accountabilities:

  • Oversee the effective management of BPO contracts and business cases, to ensure both contractual and commercial compliance.
  • Oversee the effective management of governance programs supporting BPO.
  • Functional and fundamental understanding of the business processes and activities performed by the BPO on behalf of Walmart. 
  • Build an influential relationship with the BPO vendor to reinforce a positive environment.
  • Actively engage with BPO vendor to understand and address operational pain points.
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset, best practices framework, case studies, benchmarking for making processes more efficient and effective with the BPO vendor.
  • Foresee risks, be proactive and predictive while developing mitigation plans.
  • Act as BPO expert, in this role being the primary contact for global stakeholders and translating global finance requirements towards back-office operations in the BPO.
  • As part of our managed services construct with our BPO, actively drive the service level discussions, both from a metrics as well as yearly target perspective, service levels, customer NPS feedback in close cooperation with the operations leads in the company and our BPO.
  • Within the Compliance and Internal Controls frameworks, actively monitor the risk and controls model and support the follow-up of the Continuous Controls Monitoring and Segregation of Duties initiative for the BPO operations.
  • Liaison between company global stakeholders and BPO vendor.                         
  • Promote a learning culture within a diverse, multi-cultural team spanning multiple geographies.

Essentials: 

  • Prior experience in global BPO Operations, Transitions, Assessments, Contract management, Consulting, or Shared Services. 
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams, working in cross functional/matrixed environment, and/or multi-national team. 
  • Proficiency in using advanced functionality of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Experience in project management discipline, and/or valued contributor to large scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology.  (MBAs preferred but not mandatory). 
  • Prior experience in BPO vendor / partnership management (Preferred but not mandatory).

  • Ability to navigate complex, cross functional, geographically distributed org.

  • Comfortable working with deadlines and in projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solver.
  • Able to drive change through the finance organization.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, easily identify process inefficiencies with ability to standardize and streamline to enhance cycle times.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00
