Position Summary
Position supervises patient accounts activities ensuring that policies and procedures are communicated and implemented to patients, physicians, staff and outside contacts.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs and monitors daily activity of Claims, QA and Float Staff. Conducts monthly one on one meetings with direct reports and annual performance evaluations. Manages and resolves staff problems, approves time off requests and payroll.
- Develops and maintains staff procedural and workflow guidelines. Ensures a safe, secure, and inclusive work environment. Identifies personal growth opportunities for staff to encourage employee retention.
- Attends and contributes to Management, Staff and Payer meetings as needed; works closely with AR Managers to assist and advise regarding claims issues, QA and Float staff performance.
- Performs recruiting and onboarding duties of new hires; ensures appropriate and ongoing training is received by new and existing staff.
- Creates and analyzes ad hoc and monthly productivity and WQ aging reports to ensure AR Team standards are consistently me.
- Works with PBS and Clinical department leadership to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
- Identifies and addresses trends and patterns involving claims, claim forms, EDI processes, and other issues as they arise; places tickets through Service Now or Experian as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Position works remotely, however, occasional onsite presence will be required; hybrid schedule-majority remote with one to two days per month in office.

- Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing).
Equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of Epic.
- Proficient in MS Products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Box.
- Understanding of Revenue Cycle, EDI transactions, Payer policies.
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field with three years of experience in supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
$56,200.00 - $87,100.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
