THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Corporate Quality Intern, you will gain experience in the regulatory landscape as it relates to domestic and international laws, managing quality systems along with supplier relations, and improve your problem-solving skills by tacking regulatory challenges and assisting with resolutions.

Key responsibilities: Corporate Quality Intern

  • Compliance management of new inbound chemicals and supplied goods: Help in researching common hazards associated with new inbound processing aids and ingredients.  Support the Quality Management team in conducting risk assessments and ensuring all documentations and mandatory compliance requirements are met.

  • Supplier documentation: Assist with the intake of supplier documentation for our systems and ensure completion and compliance with Primient’s policies. Work closely with suppliers and procurement to obtain documentation and ensure the compliance of suppliers with Primient’s systems and policies.

  • Maintain Supplier compliance: Learn FDA code and how it applies to our suppliers. Manage and update the supplier database and library by ensuring completeness and accuracy of the information in the database.

  • Documentation Assistance: Prepare and organize internal documentation to ensure compliance with both internal and external audits.

  • Policy management team assistance: Take meeting minutes to ensure document changes and next steps are accurately recorded. Upload finished documents to their respective locations. Assist in repairing formatting errors on Microsoft Word and Excel. Help keep internal library organized and on track.

  • Assist and provide support for the Quality Management Specialist in launching special projects and identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

  • The ideal/ intern would be proactive, have strong problem-solving skills and be detail oriented. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in food regulatory affairs, external supplier relations, stake holder relations, supplier quality management, gaining competence in state-of-the-art industry software used for tracking compliance, and first-hand experience with conducting a risk assessment for suppliers and inbound items.

What We Offer:

This internship will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our Corporate Quality operations within a dynamic environment.

Must possess valid work authorization for the US. We are not offering sponsorship for this role.

ITEMS TO NOTE

This is a 40 hour per week/Full Time role.

This role is a Hybrid role - 3 days a week at the Loudon, TN plant.

There is no guarantee of full-time placement at the conclusion of this internship.

This role comes with a $21.00/hr rate with a $3000 Housing/Travel stipend.
