Help us get ahead of disease together with involvement in projects across New Product Introduction, Sustainability Improvement and Process/Facility Optimization: 

Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemical Engineering

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: July to December 2025

What will you do?

  • Support technology transfer of a new product and exposure to new technology

  • Support the design, commissioning and qualification of new or existing manufacturing facility

  • Support the design and optimization of processes and facility to bring about step-change sustainability improvements, including new investments

  • Explore opportunities in digitalization space to enhance optimization in process engineering activities

What will you learn?

You will be provided a rare opportunity to gain exposure to technology transfer of new products to a key global manufacturing site, as well as learn about the process of facility and equipment design in capital projects involving the transformation of an existing facility to support manufacture of new products. You will also learn about key sustainability improvement initiatives and technology relevant to a pharmaceutical industry.


The scope of work involves supporting engineers in process and facility design in a pharmaceutical plant through preparing process engineering deliverables, data analysis, plant commissioning, fundamental safety evaluations etc. In addition, you will also be assisting with driving continuous improvement projects and the development of process design capability initiatives.

  • Strong technical understanding and keen interest in process engineering to drive continuous improvements

  • Responsiveness and resourcefulness to be able to work independently

  • An inquisitive learner to work and learn across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills

  • Good communication, presentation and influencing skills
