Practical Law, a division of Thomson Reuters

We are looking for one Practical Law summer intern at Practical Law who has completed their first or second year at an ABA-accredited law school for Summer 2025 (with possible fall extensions) to work with our Capital Markets team. This internship will be fully remote and the pay is $20/hr.

About the Role
In this opportunity as Practical Law Capital Markets and Securities Summer Intern, you will: 

  • Conduct legal research on various legal Capital Markets and Securities topics-related issues.
  • Engage in quality assurance with respect to Practical Law content.
  • Assist in assembling content.
  • Summarize changes to primary law.
  • Provide additional support, as needed.
  • This internship has the potential to be a year-long internship.
  • Flexible Schedule 10 - 20 hours per week during school terms, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer and while on breaks.


About You
You’re a fit for the role of a Practical Law Capital Markets and Securities Intern if you:

  • Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
  • Have an impressive command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English.
  • Consistently pay strong attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
  • Can work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects.
  • Have experience using Westlaw and Microsoft Office products.
  • Have experience or an interest in Bankruptcy law.
