Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing's Indirect Supply Chain organization is seeking an Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist (SS&C) to join our team in Mesa, AZ, or Seattle, WA. This role focuses on sourcing and contracting firms to support Boeing’s engineering organizations. The SS&C Specialist will collaborate with enterprise team members and industry leaders to carry out supplier activities such as long-term agreements, strategic awards, and corporate initiatives.  

The Strategic Sourcing and Contracting team are manages the entire procurement lifecycles, including Requests for Proposals, conducting price analysis, negotiating contracts, and overseeing contract management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed category plans and drives strategy near and long term within the category, and possesses thorough knowledge of key categories and suppliers 

  • Establishes relationships internally and within the supply base

  • Leads cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans for key high-value projects

  • Advises business unit functions, helping to solve operational and business challenges around quality/delivery, long-term agreements, and negotiations

  • Engages with enterprise stakeholders, including business units and functions, to ensure category vision is known and aligns with key essential activities such as make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives

  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations, and documenting of contracts and agreements

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

  • 3+ years of experience leading supplier, terms and conditions, and pricing negotiations

  • 3+ years of experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment

  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in procurement

  • Experience in Standard SAP

  • 3+ years of experience with project management and/or business operations

  • 3+ years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions

Typical Education/Experience: 

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant Military experience.  Advance degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $74,800 - $108,100
