AAM is hiring a Molding Die Setter for 2nd shift openings! Pay is based on experience a $1,000 sign on bonus.

Job Description

The starting wage range for a Die Setter is $24.69-$31.00 (based on experience) with additional wage growth opportunities, plus a shift premium of $0.95/hour for off shifts. Second shift currently available.

Responsibilities of the Die Setter Include:

  • Provides support to manufacturing by participating in problem solving and continuous improvement projects to improve quality and reduce scrap.
  • May initiate quality alerts to communicate changes in control plans, process instructions, or acceptance standards.
  • Coordinates prototype, tool layout, and PPAP activities, and ensures customer requirements are secure.
  • Monitors on-going product quality and processing by maintaining daily contact with manufacturing.
  • Start up, shut down, monitors and adjusts delube process according to Control Plan.
  • Provides support and training to facilitate a safe manufacturing environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to work 2nd Shift: 3PM-11PM
  • Availability to work full time and overtime
  • Proven die setting and/or compact press experienc

  • Thorough understanding of the following:
  • Press functions (set up, operation, maintenance, etc.).
  • Mix changes, cleaning, cut ups and weight adjustments.
