The Summer Intern session is a 12-week, full-time (40 hours Monday-Friday) program while the Co-op cohorts typically run 16-weeks in the Spring and Fall. In both programs, students are paid a competitive hourly rate. Continue reading to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

What you'll do

  • Assist with monthly financial close activities.  

  • Help ensure accuracy and reliability of general ledger/trial balance.  

  • Analyze costs against prior periods, plan and latest forecast. 

  • Prepare reports for monthly financial results. 

  • Support the documentation of controls, processes and ensure SOX compliance. 

  • Assist with and ensure successful quarterly and year end audits. 

  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses and assist team with research on cost accounting questions and assist with special projects, as requested.

  

What you'll need

  • Pursuing a 4-year college degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Understanding of fundamental cost accounting theories and concepts. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).

  • Demonstrates an interest in learning inner workings of accounting process and systems. 

  • Experienced Microsoft Excel user, proficient with functions, pivot tables and data analysis. 

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

  • Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. 

  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. 

  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills.

Our Environment

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
