Senior Product Manager - Technical, Remote US

Job Responsibility

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be part of the Data Services team under the System Engineering and Information Technology Services group, implementing and supporting reporting and planning solutions for eBay. Your primary role is to support the stabilization and steady state of the newly implemented Financial Planning product based on Anaplan. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business partners, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery and optimization of the financial planning solutions. This hands-on role will have the responsibility of leading multiple integrated planning and reporting products and solutions at a time. In this role you will establish product and tool road maps, create solution architecture, lead development teams, perform development, build POC, partner with multiple data and application development teams spread across the globe to influence business solutions and co-ordinate reporting and planning solution implementation across the enterprise.

You will partner closely with production teams, design and develop solutions and ensure smooth handoffs to sustaining teams and design solutions that are stable, scalable, and optimized for monitoring as well as participate in support operations.


Job Requirements

  • Architecture and Solution Design experience desired; Able to assist business counterparts in finding optimal solutions.
  • Design, Develop and maintain Anaplan connected planning models to support financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and business customers to gather requirements and translate them into Anaplan solutions.
  • Design and build sophisticated calculations, workflows, and data integrations within Anaplan and other enterprise systems.
  • Perform testing and validation of Anaplan models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to Anaplan developers (both onshore & offshore)
  • Monitor and solve issues with Anaplan models and provide timely resolutions.
  • Stay updated with Anaplan platform updates and new features and incorporate them into existing models.
  • Conduct user training and documentation to promote user adoption and self-service within the organization.
  • Continuously improve Anaplan models and processes to enhance efficiency, performance, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multiple technology and business teams to integrate Anaplan with other finance systems and tools.
  • Ensures that standard development processes and established industry practices are followed during the entire SDLC.
  • Conduct design, code reviews, and provide technical direction to junior developers, and model builders.
  • Designing and developing technical specs. Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Establish good relationships with all the partners.
  • Share and extend help to project and team members.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, architecture forums & discussion groups.
  • Support & grow an innovative team culture.
  • Work in an Agile model without compromising quality.
  • Connect with all levels of IT and Business management, PMO and Development teams.
  • Communicate the project status, impacts & delays with business and technology partners and establish clear expectations with project teams and leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the industry with at least 8 years of implementation and support experience in a financial and strategic business planning technology such as Hyperion or Anaplan with a minimum of 3 years in Anaplan required.
  • Level 3 Anaplan Model Builder Certification is required.
  • Solid understanding of finance planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and their application preferably in an SAP environment is required.
  • Background and understanding of SAP Finance and Reporting modules preferred.
  • Background in reporting and data management, with experience in Anaplan and SAP reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system configurations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experienced in project management – prioritization, capacity and sprint planning.
  • Experience in data migration and ensuring data integrity during system transitions.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and handle multiple priorities.
