As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Integration Technicians you will be responsible for facility construction/modification support, facility operation, maintenance, and test article integration for rocket engine and space vehicle testing activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Fabrication and routing of pressurization and propellant tubing
  • Test article integration and checkout
  • Reviewing, editing and following Test Procedures
  • Operation of test facility systems
  • Coordination and movement of hardware, supplies, parts, etc.
  • Reviewing WO’s to ensure proper hardware and supplies are available to execute the task
  • Edit and write WO’s to assist engineering as needed
  • General trouble shooting of instrumentation, valves, leaks, etc
  • Working with engineers on design concepts/improvements and development tests
  • Tracking of all GSE that is stored locally and off site
  • Planning and communicating assembly steps for complex mechanical installations
  • Providing design feedback on the test stand and test article(s)
  • Coordinating with outside groups to receive test articles and ensure production test maintains performance to plan
  • Flexibility to support testing campaigns as required – this may mean shift work or extended hours based on testing needs
  • Safe working practices:
  • Safely working with hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems
  • Demonstrate a strong bias for safety in operations

Qualifications:

  • Experience with pneumatic/fluids systems, hydraulics, electrical controls cabinet wiring, harness routing/management, data acquisition and/or networking systems
  • Experience with logistics and parts expediting.
  • Experience with ordering parts and hardware from design concepts or drawings
  • Large mechanical assembly of tooling, platforms, and heavy equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with test, flight and safety critical hardware
  • Ability to plan/schedule hardware movements across multiple facilities
  • Standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings – P&IDs, fabrication drawings
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Ability to work off-shift hours and alternate shifts to accommodate testing
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including Hydrogen Peroxide, RP, and cryogenics
  • Knowledge in the use of computer programs such as AutoCAD P&ID or Creo
  • Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc) and pressurized system safety
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
