We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Christchurch facility!

Our Curtiss Wright state-of-the-art facility at Bournemouth Airport is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor join the team. You will be responsible to operate in a world-class Aerospace manufacturing environment to the highest quality standards

Location: Christchurch, UK.

Your Challenge:

Health & Safety, and Facilities Management

  • Ensure the business complies with good practice and Health & Safety

  • Maintain best practice of H&S, housekeeping, and hygiene at all times

  • Seek to improve safety standards and ensure employees use safe working practices

  • Promote safe-working

  • Ensure adequate supply of PPE equipment

  • Actively support Wellbeing of the staff

Operations Planning

  • Meet production goals – track and report

  • Monitor and control scheduled performance (KPI’s)

  • Proactively resolve delays and potential delays and escalate where necessary

  • Liaise with Planners over shortages, delivery dates and/or special requirements

  • Ensure adequate capacity and versatility maintained to meet the plan requirements

Operations Management

  • Maintain an up to date view of operations

  • Provide leadership support to resolve issues

  • Troubleshoot issues and problems and resolve

  • Proactively seek ideas and suggestions and implement corrective actions and improvements

  • Develop and maintain operational quality standards and processes, drive “Wright First Time”

  • Ensure communications through daily tier meetings

  • Facilitate Training and collation of Training Records

Business Contribution

  • Support the vision, mission and values of the organization

  • Support overall targets and objectives

  • Act within the business as a Senior Manager

  • Contribute to the business plans

People Management

  • Proactively lead the team and individuals

  • Lead individual performance in their day to day duties

  • Lead team performance

  • Lead and Manage learning and development needs

  • Implement company people management processes

  • Maintain discipline to uphold Company standards

  • Manage Grievance procedures with HR and individuals

  • Manage Enrollment for new employees

Your Expertise:

  • Experience within production and manufacturing

  • Experience with people management

  • Competent with IT systems using Microsoft office

  • Good communication and people skills

  • Ability to take ownership

  • Ability to act quickly and quick decision making

  • Capable of forward planning and good time management
