**This is a hybrid role; 2 days in office, 3 days remote**
The Financial Report Analyst Senior provides financial management support to all levels of management including strategic funding, budget development, financial analysis and financial reporting; prepares, evaluates and analyzes financial information for the department leadership.
The Financial Report Analyst Senior monitors financial performance and manages the funding sources for multiple organizations such as MCVP, VCU, MCV Foundation and other entities as needed.
The Financial Report Analyst Senior conducts financial review for strategic initiatives and compiles special reports for financial activity as needed.
The Financial Report Analyst Senior manages MCVP and VCU payroll, accounts payable and all other departmental financial functions. This position ensures all travel reimbursements are in compliance with MCVP and VCU guidelines.

Experience REQUIRED:
3 years of progressively more responsible accounting/finance, budgeting, financial forecasting and accounts payable experience in a healthcare setting
Previous work experience in budget development and management
Previous experience developing financial spreadsheets
Experience PREFERRED:
5 years of progressively more responsible accounting/finance, budgeting, financial forecasting and accounts payable experience within a healthcare setting Previous experience managing research and grant funding
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle operations
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field from an accredited program
Education/training PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited program
Independent action(s) required:
Proactively designs reports and monitors the department’s financial performance.
Leads the department through monthly financial reviews.
Addresses administrator, division chiefs and department chair’s questions regarding the financial operations of the department.
Completes financial analysis by conducting research, investigating, analyzing, reconciling and evaluating data.
Proactively identifies potential issues and recommends appropriate response.
A wide degree of creativity and independence is expected.
