This is an excellent opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (40 hrs. /wk.) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive, agency leader, and strategic thought partner to the CEO. Responsible for all financial matters of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. (PPWI) and its affiliated organizations.  This role articulates the vision and sets the strategy and direction for PPWI’s agency-wide finance efforts. The CFO is part of the agency-wide leadership team who designs mission-centered business strategies for the organization’s growth and success, and in partnership with the board of directors, develops the agency’s vision, and strategic plan.  

The CFO is responsible for partnering with the CEO, agency leadership and the Board Finance Committee to develop and implement strategies driving toward a sustainable business model that are: 

- Based on PPWI’s mission, vision, and strategic goals   
  - Innovative and resourceful approaches tailored to the unique needs of PPWI 
- Developed through an equity lens in support of PPWI’s vision to advance health equity and serve as a place where patients, staff, and communities experience belonging 

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

- Support the mission, vision and values of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc., and be committed to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. 
- Demonstrated breadth and depth of expertise in finance to bring a nuanced perspective to the successful operation of the following core areas: 
- Executive healthcare financial management and financial leadership 
- Revenue cycle management 
- Health information technology, experience working with EPIC EMR a plus 
- Active engagement with corporate compliance programs 
- Management of banking, investment, and insurance affairs 
- History of clean financial statements 
- Experience working with mid-size+ businesses ($25m+ revenue, 100+ employees) 
- Demonstrated ability, working jointly with other leaders, to innovate, shape business and financial strategies toward an organization’s growth and success. 
- History of engaged, strategic, and productive internal and external relationships, including experience working with executive, volunteer, and board leadership, external vendors and stakeholders 
- Ability to deliver narrative financial information to boards and staff; and to train others in reading and interpreting financial materials 
- Proven leadership and supervision ability with a history of advancing efforts to engender a positive organizational culture.  
- Successful history of leading the execution of complex cross-departmental projects, including demonstrated communication skills and the ability to actively engage with people from many backgrounds and points of view. 
- Proficiency in Excel Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor’s degree in business / healthcare administration, accounting or finance required. Master’s Degree and / or C.P.A. certification a plus. 

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and 5 years as CFO or similar accounting leadership capacity.   

Minimum of three years with GAAP.  Healthcare industry experience preferred.  

 Must have demonstrated supervisory experience. 

SUPERVISORY REQUIRMENTS:  

 Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing feedback; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 The position is predominantly sedentary, requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk.  May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing on an electronic keyboard.  Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet. 

 Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly.  Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and calculator. 

 WORKING CONDITIONS: 

The position is generally performed in an office environment involving frequent interruptions.  The noise level is generally low to quiet.  The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.  Reasonable accommodations, however, may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform said essential functions.   

 This position requires occasional travel statewide. If driving a personal car, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in accordance with agency liability standards is required.   

 Evening or weekend hours may be required.
