The Loan Doc & Proc Sr Mgr accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires commercial loan awareness. Communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary, terminations and may include budget approval.
This role will manage a team responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of key Lending Operations data, processes, and controls related to commercial loan product processors and general ledgers. The role holder’s responsibilities will also include providing transparency to key internal stakeholders across functions and locations to support the proactive identification of trends and emerging themes. Additional responsibilities include initiatives on data analytics, reporting of metrics, proactive identification of emerging trends by utilizing data, and supporting the operation in identifying solutions that can improve data quality

Responsibilities:
This role will manage key activities including account opening and closure, payment instruction updates, product maintenance, and reference data enrichment related to commercial lending processes.
Subject matter expert to lead the team to drive and implement business initiatives, client solutions, and/or projects.
Minimizes risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements - provides solutions to reduce errors, and to adhere to audit and control policies. Serves as a checker for systematic transactions as a last line of defense.
Develops and exercises business plans, policies and procedures, and demonstrates an ability to lead projects, offer innovative solutions and cost saving opportunities
Stays abreast of developments within the loan operations/processing function and considers the impact to the business
Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of complex deliverables often related, but not limited to operational processes for the team
Accountable for integrity of process, operations and associated results
Responsible for detailed analysis of loan related issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/taken
This includes but not limited to assessing service quality and identifying areas for process improvement, service or technology enhancements.
Requires advanced analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple projects, thereby defining problems and developing solutions
Defines, develops, implements and tracks appropriate margin related KPIs and SLAs for the group
Assumes formal leadership role within the team, is involved in the coaching and training of new recruits, and provides guidance and support to junior staff
Builds effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients and stakeholders, as well as ability to influence them where necessary
Creates, develops and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients and stakeholders, and seeks to understand their needs and provides solutions
Persuades/influences/negotiates with others through collaborative communication skills
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of related industry experience including people leadership
Reasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Commercial Loan Process
Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services
Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
Awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, multi-task with a sense of urgency, and track delivery of multiple priorities across multiple owners.
Experience in creating reports, decks, data dashboards, graphs and visualizations and delivering senior executive-level presentations. Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel) is required.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and written/verbal communications skills.
Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to Policies
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree preferred or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$103,200.00 - $154,800.00
