Reporting to the Planning manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule for the drug product manufacturing and packaging operations. This position is critical in creating and maintaining a scheduling system and process that ensure highly efficient utilization of equipment and resources in support of the site’s plan of record.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible of preparing production plans for manufacturing and packaging areas using site software systems to ensure correct market supply that avoids not only out of stock situations but also overstocks in the markets, while considering the needs of product delivery to the customer and the production limitations of the Plant.
  • Responsible of master plan for procurement of materials and raw materials needed to comply with plan production.
  • Manage site finished goods, bulk and production materials inventories. Minimize inventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs. Maintain stock levels according to company strategy.
  • Continue follow up to ensure the information contained in planning and purchase systems is up to date and accurate (SAP ECC, SAP APO).
  • Actively committed to supply problems solving, proactively identifies potential supply issues and communicates them effectively, both internally and externally to obtain its resolution.
  • Responsible to develop KPIs and action plans to ensure customer and business needs are met.
  • Active participation in improvement projects at department, Site and company level.
  • Purchasing components to external and internal suppliers following MRP process (Material Requirements Planning).
  • Support Planning manager in the development of local S&OP.
  • Maintain and update departmental SOP’s, complete area change controls and commitments.

  • Expertise in use and leveraging of ERP systems and reporting tools (E.g. SAP ECC, SAP APO, Tableau, Business Intelligence tools, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.); demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
  • GMP and Quality systems knowledge.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, business, or technical discipline.
  • Experience in supply chain management in leading company is a plus.
  • Overall knowledge throughout the planning and procurement, material flows.
  • High knowledge and management of SAP (ECC Production module and APO)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
  • Tableau and Visual Basic knowledge desirable.
  • European Union work permit.
