In this vital role the Talent Experiences Senior Manager, is responsible for leading and coordinating the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive talent experience programs and leading the Talent Experiences function within Amgen Technology Medical Organizations (ATMOS). This role ensures the delivery of outstanding experiences throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development and retention. The Sr. Manager will work closely with and matrix report to the Executive Director of Human Resources to align talent initiatives with business objectives, foster a culture of engagement and inclusion, and drive organizational performance.

Key Accountabilities

Talent Experience Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for talent experiences that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives, partnering with the HR organization.

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.

  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve talent experience initiatives.

  • In partnership with HR, develop the employee value proposition for the organization and execute against the proposition.

Program Development and Management:

  • Oversee the creation and management of talent programs, including onboarding, career development, and employee recognition.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program integration and execution.(HR, Finance, Technology, peer functional teams such as RDSO and operations talent team, etc.

  • Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of talent programs and make data-driven improvements.

Employee Engagement and Inclusion:

  • In partnership with enterprise DI&B, foster a culture of inclusion and belonging through targeted initiatives and programs.

  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment.

  • Analyze pulse survey results (through Glint) and develop action plans for improvement in partnership with HR and CoS network within the organization.

Leadership and Development:

  • In partnership with HR, develop high-potential employees for leadership roles through targeted development programs.

  • Partner with cross-functional peers to obtain best practices used in their functions and apply them within the organization.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with the Executive Director of Human Resources and other senior leaders to align talent strategies with business priorities.

  • Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments to ensure consistent and effective communication of talent initiatives.

  • Build and deliver presentations to senior leadership on talent experience strategies, progress, and outcomes.

Talent Analytics and Reporting:

  • Apply data analytics to track and report on talent metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor the effectiveness of talent programs and initiatives.

  • Use data to drive continuous improvement in talent experience strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience

Or

Master’s degree and 6 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • High level of emotional intelligence and cultural competence.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across functions.

  • Commitment to encouraging an inclusive and engaging work environment.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing talent strategies and programs.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong cross-functional partnerships capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.

  • Certification in HR or talent management (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
