The Time Away and Accommodations Associate must have a broad knowledge of leave of absence, disability, and accommodations to execute on key initiatives and supports the Time Away and Accommodations COE with strategy, design, and absence management for programs in the US, Canada, India, and El Salvador.

The Time Away and Accommodations Associate executes leave and accommodation program changes, supports with managing vendor relationships, assisting with absence and accommodations compliance updates. The Time Away & Accommodations Associate also specializes in delivering concierge experience to key stakeholders. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Time Away and Absence COE with absence and accommodations vendor accountability, review, and outcomes analysis. 
  • Supports the Manager by executing on COE Strategy.
  • In collaboration with the Manager, third party consultants and counsel, develops and maintains a leave compliance calendar. Including the completion of annual compliance and exemption filings, and all other state medical and sick leave filings.
  • In coordination with Talent Operations Leave Administration Team, handles escalated and complex issues and works with third party vendors to resolve the issue and provides follow up direction and education to the Talent Operations Absence Team.
  • In coordination with the appropriate stakeholders and the Manager, supports the COE with the management of key knowledge documents and FAQs. This includes identifying opportunities to add documentation where there are gaps.
  • Supports the COE with the management and design of the Global Accommodation Program.
  • Develops subject matter expertise around global leave and accommodations.
  • Additionally, coordinates escalated leave and accommodations situations and engages the Manager when necessary.
  • Supports the Manager with diligence in the planning process related to Leave Configuration in Workday, holiday calendar, and flexibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree  
  • CLMS or CPDM Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant absence and accommodation experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with related employment laws and ensuring compliance
  • General understanding of employee benefits as they relate to leaves of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, multi-state disability programs, ADA, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and PWFA.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy during the process of educating, mentoring and coaching staff and business partners
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $64,200 - $106,700

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
