This FP&A Sr. Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for the governance framework and supporting processes to effectively coordinate across the broader Expense FP&A team. The overall objective is to design relevant processes to govern and have an oversight around audit readiness, forecasting processes, overall deliverables, and projects in the team. A good understanding in systems, digital tools and risk and controls is essential. This position requires a thorough understanding of internal policies and forecasting processes to provide the foundation of a strong risk structure embed into our BAU practices. Excellent communication skills are required to influence internally, often at a senior level.
The ideal candidate will understand the risk and control framework for the financial planning processes along with strong analytical skills and project management experience. Confident, persuasive, and persistent, the candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed and critical objectives are met. This combination of skills and experience along with a curiosity to learn are necessary to develop effective solutions and transform how expenses FP&A advises our partners.
Responsibilities:
Develop a strong end-to-end Risk & Control framework to ensure best in class practices across Expenses FP&A and partner across Expenses FP&A teams to lead the execution.
Liaise with other FP&A teams (FP&A Business Execution, FP&A Risk & Controls, etc.) to review the requirements and/or deliverables. Manage multiple project deliverables including identifying necessary resources, developing a schedule to meet completion deadlines, escalate key execution risks and help identify and take mitigating actions.
Look into opportunities to simplify and standardize processes across the expense teams. Act as liaison, influence the execution and provide focused support as they adopt new capabilities and implement improvements to the process.
Maintain a consistent approach across the team, escalate issues and ensure compliance. Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Prepare/present to senior management and stakeholders on using metrics to evaluate and drive business decisions.
Represent Expenses FP&A in forums to drive outcomes and communication.
Build professional relationships with stakeholders and become the go-to-person for deliverable management and coordination needs for expenses FP&A teams.
May include directly/indirectly managing team members locally and remotely and partnering with other teams locally and across the globe; requires the ability to effectively communicate across all levels.
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of relevant experience; experience within financial services preferred
Understanding of the risk and control framework and FP&A processes is essential
Experience in project management is a plus
Demonstrated leadership skills, negotiation and influence
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across a wide range of global stakeholders with various levels of seniority
Effective communication skills, ability to convey clear and simple messages with a focus on what matters to drive impact
Innovative, lateral thinker – solutions focused in solving problems and overcoming roadblocks
Agile and flexible, resetting priorities as appropriate
Strong analytical and demonstrated critical thinking skills
Attention to detail
Self-starter, must be able to work autonomously and in a team-oriented environment, to effective plan and manage multiple projects and milestones,
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
An understanding of digital visualization and analytics tools is a plus
Education:
An undergraduate degree in Finance or another quantitative discipline
Master’s degree preferred
