The Director, Strategic Pricing will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the pricing strategies for FindLaw, a leading digital marketing solutions provider to smaller law firms. The successful candidate will lead a small team of analysts responsible for developing and implementing pricing structures that optimize revenue generation while ensuring competitiveness in the market. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, dynamic ad pricing, emerging monetization trends, and competitive landscapes. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and market dynamics.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies for digital marketing products and services, with a particular focus on pricing online legal directory listings across FindLaw’s network of leading sites.
  • Partner with Product on the design and implementation of an ongoing process to refine online directory pricing multiple times per year, leveraging performance, discount, and sales data.
  • Design and implement pricing models that align with different customer segments and value propositions.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing opportunities, competitive positioning, and emerging trends.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance metrics, such as pricing elasticity, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value, to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to understand customer needs, market demand, and product capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to pricing analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of pricing initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate pricing modeling, forecasting, and financial reporting.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or related fields, preferably in the digital advertising industry.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including programmatic advertising, display advertising, search advertising, social media advertising, and emerging formats.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
